Let's learn how to set up an AB test. AB tests are set up through ad groups within each campaign and can be used to compare the performance of different creative groups and targets by splitting the audience traffic.
A/B Test Set Up
AB Tests need to be set up within each campaign under the ad group section.
-
Go to Home page.
-
Select the Ad Account you wish to set up an AB test for.
-
Select the App & Campaign on the left hand side menu.
-
Go to the list of Ad Groups under that campaign.
-
Click Test to set up the AB Test.
Important: Make sure you create the Ad Groups that you want to test in advance before setting up the test. Learn more about Ad Group Settings.
-
Select the Ad Groups you want to test.
-
Select the Traffic Range of each ad group you want to test.
Note: The traffic range refers to the audience split. You can split the traffic however you wish (i.e 50:50, 75:25, 90:10, etc.). The example above shows an even 50:50 traffic split.
Important: Splitting the traffic does not ensure the same spending ratio. For example, a 50:50 traffic split does not ensure even budget consumption of each ad group. If you wish to control the budget consumption of each group, we recommend creating multiple campaigns. You can create as many campaigns as needed, adjust traffic and allocate the desired budget per campaign.
- Click Save.
Important: Make sure the Ad Groups in the test are turned ON .
